The speed and structure rules we apply in a redesign, applied to a site of our own. Lighthouse mobile · Aug 2026

Website redesign services: keep the address and what ranks, fix speed, structure and the path to the enquiry.
A redesign starts with measurements, not with a mood board. We record how fast the site is on a phone, which pages get visits, where people leave and how many clicks it takes to write to you. Then we fix what the numbers point at, with a redirect map before launch.
What we measure
Before we touch anything, and again after launch
Five numbers we record on every redesign. The bars below are illustrative; a client’s real numbers appear only with their consent.
What you get
Speed, visits per page, exits, clicks to the enquiry, what ranks. In your plan before we start, and again after launch, so the change is visible in numbers.
Pages nobody visits are folded or removed, the ones that sell get the first screen they deserve, and the enquiry is one click from anywhere.
Every old address leads somewhere before the switch. Search Console checked before and after. Your team keeps the editor.
Who this is for
Sites that look fine and bring nothing
It ranks for your name and loads slowly on a phone. The content is fine; the structure is from another time.
Forty pages, six of them visited. A redesign folds the rest and gives the six a real first screen.
Visitors arrive and leave. The path to the enquiry is four clicks and a PDF.
Sometimes the honest answer is a rebuild. We say so after measuring, not before.

Questions
Questions people ask before a redesign
Redesign vs rebuild: how do we know which one we need?
Redesign keeps the address, the content and what already ranks, and fixes speed, structure and the path to the enquiry. Rebuild starts from a new structure, usually because the old one cannot carry what the business does now, or the platform is a dead end. We measure first and say which; about half the sites we look at need a redesign, not a rebuild.
What do you measure before touching anything?
Speed on a phone (time to first byte, largest paint, page weight), which pages get visits and which get none, where visitors leave, how many clicks it takes to reach the enquiry, and what already ranks in search. The numbers go into the plan, so after the redesign the same numbers show what changed.
What exactly gets fixed: speed, structure or conversion?
All three, in that order of certainty. Speed is measured and fixed. Structure is rebuilt around the offer and the buyer’s questions, with the pages nobody visits folded or removed. Conversion is the path from the first screen to the enquiry, made shorter; we do not promise a number, because it depends on your market and your traffic.
Will we keep our rankings after a redesign?
That is the point of a redesign instead of a rebuild. Addresses stay or get a redirect map before launch, titles and content that rank are kept, and the site is checked in Search Console before and after. Rankings can move when structure changes; the redirect map and the measurements keep it a controlled move, not a surprise.
How much does a website redesign cost?
Priced after a short call, because it depends on what stays and what goes: a speed and structure fix on a site with the right platform costs less than moving a catalogue to a new one. What we can say now: the audit is included, and everything proposed is priced on this site’s ladder.
How long does a redesign take?
From a month, after the measurements. The redirect map and the content inventory are ready before any page changes, so the launch is one day, not a week of broken links.
